Phi Delta Epsilon, the University of Washington’s premier professional pre-medical fraternity, is hosting an interactive Dawg Daze event for students who are exploring the pre-medical path or looking for guidance on whether it’s the right fit. Whether you’re set on a career in medicine or still exploring your options, this is an opportunity to receive honest advice, ask questions, and connect with the welcoming PhiDE community. At the event, you’ll be making your own keychains (all materials provided) while chatting with current PhiDE members about what it’s like to be a pre-med at UW. Our members come from a diverse set of backgrounds and have navigated the ups and downs of the pre-med journey, so you can expect practical advice on academics, extracurricular activities, research, volunteering, and finding an appropriate work-life balance for you! More than anything, this event is about community. PhiDE is built on the values of community, leadership, and service, and our members are committed to helping each other succeed – both in and out of the classroom. For first-years, it’s a great way to meet people who share your interests, hear different perspectives, and start building a support network that lasts beyond your first quarter. Light refreshments will be served, and all supplies will be provided. You’ll leave prepared for the new school year with a cute addition for your backpack, new connections, a better sense of UW’s pre-med community, and how PhiDE can help you!
