ESEC Info Session with TAMID UW

October 1 @ 6:00 pm7:00 pm

ESEC Info Night

ESEC is UW’s startup club . We bring founders, investors, and operators to campus, run events with other clubs across the university, and every spring we put on Zero to One, a two-day startup competition that last year drew over 200 students, 40 teams, and more than $10,000 in prizes, with sponsors including Anthropic and the AI2 Incubator.

This is our first event of the year and the best place to figure out whether we’re your thing. We’ll walk through what’s happening this quarter: the speakers we’re bringing in, the collaborations we’re running with other clubs on campus, and how to join. Past speakers have included the founding CEO of the Allen Institute for AI, the former CEO of Snowflake, and founders and senior leaders from Google, Microsoft, AWS, Pioneer Square Labs, and Alliance of Angels. This year’s lineup is in the same range.

You don’t need a startup, a resume, or any experience. We have members from every major, and plenty who joined knowing nothing about any of this and just wanted to learn. What we care about is curiosity and showing up. What makes us different from the other business clubs on campus is the network behind us: a direct line to founders and investors across the Seattle and Israeli startup scenes, which is where most of our speakers and partners come from.
