Blackout Poems and Open Mic with Poetry Club

Join Poetry Club for an afternoon of jubilation and creativity! Have a bunch of printouts and random documents crowding your drawers? Or an old book gathering dust in your boxes? Come make poetry of the everyday by doing blackout poems with us and stick around for an open mic to share your work or a poem you’ve been tinkering with over the summer.

Blackout poems are a fun way to make poems by finding the few words that speak to you on a page. Erase all other words until you are left with an original masterpiece. Bring your own paper to work on or use some of the papers/books we will provide!
