Hello New Huskies! – here’s a way to brag about your fantastic choice in University; the UW has more different types of tree growing on campus than just about any other University in the entire country! Our campus grounds are home to over 500 different tree species and cultivars (and over 12,000 individual specimens).
This tree tour is the perfect opportunity to meet some of the most exceptional types of trees on campus. We will visit trees that have been around since before dinosaur times, trees that can grow to the height of a 38-story building, and trees that are so pretty that they attract over 10,000 visitors each year. As we move around campus, you will have the opportunity to get to know the campus grounds a bit better, and to meet fellow students with a shared interest in the natural world.
