How to Make the Most of Your UW Networks with gesture

You’ve probably heard that networking is important. But building meaningful connections doesn’t start when you need an internship, research opportunity, or job. It starts much earlier, often without you even realizing it. The classes you take, communities you join, interests you explore, and people you meet are already shaping who you are and where you might go next. It might sound simple, but making the most of these everyday connections takes practice.

In this interactive workshop, you’ll put that practice into action. Meet other students, explore your story, experiment with how you introduce yourself, and discover how these everyday interactions can help you build your professional identity and open doors throughout your time at UW. You’ll also learn about gesture, the College of Arts and Sciences’ early career lab, and how to get involved through courses, workshops, internships, and our year-long pathway built around real professional experience.
