Immigrant Rights are Human Rights: Students for La Resistencia – Crafts and Conversation

September 21, 2025 @ 5:00 pm–6:00 pm

Event Series Event Series (See All)

Did you know that one of the largest detention centers in the U.S. is located in Tacoma, Washington? If you would like to learn more about La Resistencia’s goal to SHUT DOWN the Northwest Detention Center and are interested in joining the fight for immigrant rights, please come to our crafts and conversation event.

We are a newly re-established RSO working in partnership with La Resistencia grassroots organization. We are hosting a craft and conversation event including: preview/information about our club’s mission and goals and origami butterfly tutorial (butterflies symbolize a reclaiming of power for migrants). All immigrant advocates are welcome!
