Paint Your Own Tenugui Hand Towel with the Kendo Club

September 25 @ 2:00 pm5:00 pm

Come craft your own tenugui with the UW Kendo Club! A tenugui is a traditional Japanese cotton cloth that can be used for all kinds of things. You can dry your hands with it, wrap up things to carry, or even wear it as a fashion statement. In kendo, we often wear tenugui under the men (our helmets) to absorb seat and and a personal touch to our uniforms.

Join us to design your very own tenugui to keep, use in practice, or just display! No kendo experience necessary! Snacks will be provided, so please join us and learn about the martial art of kendo!
