Sail with the Washington Yacht Club

Join us for a 20-minute sailboat cruise on Lake Washington for the UW recreational sailing club’s Autumn Quarter Open House event! Come meet the student-run Washington Yacht Club based out of the UW Waterfront Activities Center right by Husky Stadium! We teach sailing year-round on Union Bay and beyond; and we would love to have you on board a boat bound for Lake Washington; with sights of the campus waterfront; the wildlife of Union Bay; and Mount Rainier from the water (weather permitting)! Absolutely no sailing experience is required; just show up! We will provide SNACKS; DRINKS; and LIFE JACKETS! We recommend bringing water; sunglasses/sunscreen; and warmer layers. Join the WYC for an amazing; super-affordable opportunity to learn the skills of sailing; meet other students; and become an active part of a boating community across the Puget Sound!
