SUMMARY:Society of American Foresters | All About Our Environment at UW
DESCRIPTION:You don’t have to wait for your degree to make an environmental impact. Students are already restoring ecosystems\, growing native plants\, and getting out into the field to do research. \nThe University of Washington Society of American Foresters chapter is here to introduce you to the world of Environmental Science and Resource Management at UW. Environmental Science is a broad field with many overlapping or distinct paths. Learn how ESRM students are connected through research\, community volunteering\, and student organizations. This event will include a presentation on Environmental Science at UW with provided pizza and refreshments\, a tour of SER-UW Native Nursery\, and a walk through Yesler Swamp for a mock forest survey.   \nWe’ll be meeting at the Douglas Research Center head house\, right on our university managed wetland Union Bay Natural Area!
