DESCRIPTION:Step into a galaxy far\, far away and learn the art of lightsaber combat at Lightsaber Academy! Hosted by the UW Star Wars Club\, this interactive session introduces participants to the fundamentals of lightsaber choreography\, movement\, and technique inspired by iconic Jedi and Sith fighting styles. Whether you’ve never picked up a saber or you’re ready to refine your skills\, this event is designed to be accessible\, engaging\, and fun for everyone. \nParticipants will learn basic stances\, strikes\, and simple choreographed sequences in a safe\, beginner-friendly environment led by experienced club members. Along the way\, we’ll dive into the lore behind different combat forms and explore what makes each style unique. Come meet fellow Star Wars fans\, get active\, and experience what it’s like to train as a Jedi. No prior experience (or Force sensitivity) required.
