DESCRIPTION:Join Swing Kids at UW as we venture to Reverie Ballroom in Capitol Hill for an exciting night of Lindy Hop social dancing! \nWe are meeting at the U District light rail station at 8:30– bring your student ID for $5 admission to a night of dancing\, plus a 30-minute beginner lesson (all skill levels welcome!) from professionals. \nSwing Kids at UW are a group of college students dedicated to learning Lindy Hop swing. Lindy Hop is a partner dance developed in the 20’s and 30’s in Harlem\, NY. Born from African rhythms and European structured dance\, the style consists of 6 and 8 count steps borrowing footwork from Charleston and Tap.
